5 Steps to Give Your Photo a Vintage Finish

If you want to provide an instant flashback to a bygone era while letting your creativity shine through, few techniques are as versatile as giving a vintage effect to a digital photo.
Learning how to create a vintage effect in Photoshop is easy. A vintage look gives your image a classy, antique feel. This effect tends to work best with photos with vivid colours. There are many ways to achieve this effect but they involve a lot of steps.
Following is a tutorial to achieve vintage effect in 5 simple steps. The end result is gives a great vintage feel.
Step 1: Open the image in Photoshop and duplicate the Background Layer.
Step 2: Change the Blending Options of the Duplicate Layer to Soft Light.
Step 3: Now, add a New Layer and fill it with the colour #000d5e
Step 4: Now change the Blending Mode of this Layer to Exclusion.
Step 5: Add another New Layer and fill it with the same colour and change the layer blending Mode to Exclusion. The Vintage Effect is complete.
