Picnik, a popular web-based photo editing program, has recently introduced a whole group of wonderful Halloween appropriate effects and edits. Certainly all of these great filters and stamps are available to use through other softwares, but Picnik gives its users some great tricks and treats to transform any image into something very cool.
Trick the eye and treat your subject with dozens of new photographic special effects. All photographs are snapshots taken by yours truly and have been edited using only Picnik’s photo editing application.
Vampire Effects
Turn yourself and your friends into a creature of the night. Choose between four colors of vampire eyes, tint the skin to show how hungry or full the new Dracula is, use Vampirascope to change the tones of your environment with either an amber-colored filter or a moon-colored filter, and add a pair of fangs. I vant to suck your blood! Muwahaha.
Ghoulish and Zombie Effects
Let the dead come alive, or at least make the alive look like they were dead then came back life… huh? Make anybody into one cool ghoul or zany zombie with quick eye color change (choose from four colors and adjust the glaze level), use the Zombify feature to make any skin look like it’s been decaying for quite some time, and don’t forget the wounds that may have lead to their death… or occurred after the fact.
Haunted Effects

Create your own haunted scene with four features. Ghostify will change your photo into one of a blurred line between this life and the afterlife, while the crystal ball allows you to choose your own future. Add a few flashes of lightening (and pick one of seven lightening styles) or throw in a few ghosts for a frightening image.
More Halloween Special Effects
The Ogre Vision, Face Paint, and Blood Stain tools let you put on your own costume via Picnik. There are also two sets of Halloween stamps that include the decorative essentials, such as pumpkins, spiders, and a full moon.
Creepy Text
Picnik offers a special Halloween font set. Included are eight spine-chilling font styles to use to spookify your image. Additionally, their font sets by Douglas Vitkauskas and Billy Argel also contain font designed to fit any Halloween graphic well.
14 Collage / Scrapbooking Halloween Templates
Each can hold between one and four photographs and was designed by Picnik in collaboration with Plain Digital Wrapper.
