Newly Upgraded Features to Make Awesome Flash Sites at Any Level

The ease of making Flash websites has been available for some time now with Wix. Whether using their wizard-like interface or picking and placing various elements individually, they’ve always been a great resource for noobies and experts alike.

Wix has recently updated and upgraded some of its excellent features. The User Interface Design is easier to use and more chic looking. Keyboard shortcuts are now available to use for building websites.

The new loading bar has a sleek and professional update, and they’ve upgraded all buttons and menus. Everything now allows for greater control with simpler formatting. Additionally, there are new backgrounds, new fonts, and new designs.

For those of you that don’t know about Wix yet, it is essentially a Flash website builder. It provides a simple way for anyone to make a personal or business website that looks professional, while being customized to the individual’s needs. No experience in website building or coding is necessary, as there are plenty of widgets to help you place what you want, where you want, and how you want with only minimal effort. You can choose to publish your website through Wix or your own server.

The Flurrious site is wonderful, such a great thing to give to such a worthy cause and in such an interesting fashion.
  • There is no best in flash web design. Flash as a medium for website design is a joke which should have been purged from the webmasters toolbox long ago. Too many flash sites lack accessibility, and a good number of those in this list fall squarely into that category.
  • The Flurrious site is wonderful, such a great thing to give to such a worthy cause and in such an interesting fashion.
  • Beautiful examples of flash web-design creative!

About the only thing good that came out of flash is streaming video.... any other use of that non-spiderable, slow moving, can't see it on an iphone, goes at 20% speed on linux, proprietary format BS makes the entire concept a joke.

the best thing that came from flash is youtube and hulu.

It would have been even better if it came in an .mp4 format.
  • I came across this article from Digg and it has some great information. I am looking to start using more flash and this is some good inspiration.
  • Thanks for this collection of the most inspired and amazing flash works! Some of them are familoar to me, but others are completely fresh.
    Thanks

Personally I have had such a love hate relationship with flash since flash four.

And no matter how well the program gets and computers get faster and internet connections get better, I still cringe with each and every sluggish load of any flash project, I can't help but to hear the echo of the clients reactions and endless questions and problems that are pointed out with me left saying I dunno how to correct that!...

I love the interactions flash creates but I think we still have some more time before these types of applications will be more engaging

  • They say in the not so distant future, to keep your browser safe is to turn off flash and java script.. what a travesty, Flash is soo cool!
  • I never use flash in my web design, mostly because I don't know how, but this stuff was pretty dang good!
  • The Apollo 11 site 'We Choose the Moon' was amazing but my favorite had to be Flurrious, I sent everyone a snow flake and all mean UNICEF donations, uber cool :)
