I cannot express enough how valuable good quality brushes can be. When you work for a company big enough to employ an entire art department that supplies everything you need for your project, you are quite fortunate. However, a large number of us working in a marketing department with limited resources or those who are independent contractors are not afforded the luxuries or the time. This also applies to those who do artwork for their department or school making posters, newsletters, and even reports. Saving time without compromising quality is important to all.
With that in mind, we would like to share with you a variety of abstract brushes for use in Adobe Photoshop. These brushes are available for download at the artist’s website. As you appreciate the quality and the long and hard hours put into making these brush sets, please read and adhere to their requested conditions and give appropriate credit to the author.
Midnight City Vector Brushes
ShiftyJ brings this new vector set of 30 abstract brushes. The brushes will work with Photoshop CS1, CS2, CS3, and CS4. In the set you will find an assortment of paint or blood splatters, skull, stars, abstract lines, and even airplanes.
Euphoria Vector Brushes
This set of 24 vector brushes has a cool selection of slanted lines and shapes. If you decide to download, try different colors, modes, and opacity. This set is available for personal and commercial use with certain restrictions.
Ribbon Wave Brushes
6 brushes are in this great set of ribbon wave brushes. It is actually one of my favorite sets in the post. The artist/ author has very strict rules for using these brushes, so please read them and give credit where it is due.
Mystic Melody
Mystic Melody is a set of 12 beautiful abstract brushes. They are in .abr files and compatible with any CS version of Adobe Photoshop. Please read the terms of use for this brush set.
Light Brushes
This set consists of 14 abstract light brushes . The brush set was created in Adobe Photoshop CS3 and work well in CS4. The Light brushes are great when you are looking for some really cool glow and lighting effects.

Just released, this beautiful set of 6 brushes might be the perfect added touch to your design. They are for personal use only. No commercial use for this set.
