For a couple of years now, I’ve been following the work of a brilliant, albeit often misunderstood, photographer on Flickr. Edward Olive has a varied background, including acting and a former life as a lawyer, but now makes his living as a professional photographer. Every shot has a beautiful glow and is the product of more than just talent.
What really makes Edward Olive’s photography outshine many others? He catches an often seen, but rarely noticed view of day to day life. Based in Madrid, his photographs capture the urban culture of the Spanish hub. Some shots are innocent, some daringly sexy, but all absorb you into a world that feels reminiscent of classic film.
Take a peek at a selection of Edward Olive’s photographs below. View more of his photography on Flickr or his portfolio and contact information on edwardolive.info. Most of the photographs below were taken using a vintage Hasselblad camera, and other camera types used include a Lomo, Asahi Pentax Spotmatic II, and a Canon Eos.
