Exploring cultures and people is a great hobby to take up. For a few enthusiasts, it becomes more than a past-time. Baba Steve is well known amongst his Flickr fan base for taking candid cultural photographs. The photography of Baba Steve is truly a global study of people in pictures and has much to be learned from. Photos have been taken in the following areas: West Africa, India, China, South Africa, Brazil, Hawaii, Ethiopia, Bhutan, Thailand, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Mozambique, Nepal, Thailand, Czech Republic, Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, Korea, and North Africa.
Baba Steve’s photography has been called a showcase of “the souls of the people of our amazingly culturally diverse world.” He has also acted as “a teacher. His photography and portraits are not only technical splendors, but cultural and human documents.”
“Baba Steve” or Steve Evans does cultural research and affiliated with the International Center for Ethnographic Studies. Evans travels the globe extensively and fashions himself a global citizen.
