Urban Graphics: Inspired by the Streets

A graphic designer is more than just a tech fiend with an eye for design. He or she is an artist. Like most artists, inspiration is, at one point or another, gathered from where one calls home. Each artist will interpret and create with that inspiration in their own unique way.

For some, the neighborhood of inspiration is more of an urban style (or ‘ghetto’, for a less politically correct term). The harsh lifestyle of such a location surely evokes a variety of emotions. Usually reflected, however, is the drugs, violence, and community struggles with money, education, and even authority.

Let’s take a look at some urban-inspired designs. Please keep in mind that all images link to the original page. While we do not represent the artist, we encourage you to view more of their work if it inspires you.
