Global Design Tour: Turkey

Join us as we take a trip around the world of design: Next stop, Turkey. The country that connects Europe and Asia with a strip of land along the Eastern Mediterranean Sea is one of extensive history and always has found its mark in the world of art history. In this day, the innovation and creativity can still be seen in some beautiful examples of Turkish made graphics and illustrations.

Whether when it was Constantinople, or now as Istanbul, the largest city (but not the capital) of Turkey has long been a hub for very intricate and awesome art of all sorts.

All of the designs in this post have been created by artists from Turkey. Notice the influence of a pop Euro culture.

These are only a select few designs of the Turkish design artists. To see more by your favorite designer, simply click on their name (above their respective designs).

  • Excellent and glad to see Turkish artists highlighted. There is a lot of talent in Turkey however unfortunately it just seems to be brushed under the carpet. Well the designs are not the kind that attracts me, it shows that Turkish artists are hip, modern and in tune with the younger generation and what they want.
  • Very helpful information. I bookmarked this article. Thanks for sharing.

  • Atatürk
Turks need to recognize the Armenian genocide before they're to be taken seriously.
  • We do not take sides in politics. This is focusing just on design work of residents of Turkey, not the ethical issues that may lie in their past. If you like, you're welcome to contribute a post of Armenian made design work.
  • I still do not understand why most design people confuse Graphic Design with Illustration...
  • In this showcase, their is some graphic design, and some illustration. We have not focused on any one aspect of design, but included all sorts of artwork that is exceptional.
