The Beauty of Failure: 50+ Glitches Captured

The train of 1s and 0s has derailed and you’re left with something that originates out of the resulting chaos.
A glitch is a short-lived fault or malfunction in a system. Whenever camera lenses erroneously save the data of what they see to it’s recording device or whenever the binary code of an image file gets corrupted (intentionally or accidentally), the final result is a faulty image, which we call a glitch.
Some of your favorite – and not so favorite – programs and cameras are guilty of such errors and corruption. The Apple iPhoto, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Notepad, various browsers, Nikon, Canon, and Sony, to name a few, are responsible for glitches in their systems.
Only images that are authentic digital or camera glitches are to be found below. Since the following rendition errors were not experience by yours truly, I’m basing it upon the word of the capturer.
Original individual sources are available by clicking on the image itself. If you have any to showcase, please link to the image / screencapture on your Flickr or Picasa page in the comment section below.
