The Brilliant Art of Typography

It is truly amazing how letters, one of the most basic elements in the human culture, can be so beautiful. That’s the art of typography, and the people who master it deserve admiration and respect no less than painters, architectures, photographers and so on. Every graphic designer deals with the subject sooner or later, but not every graphic designer is a type artist.

The 15 images below are only (great) samples of what could be found online in the field of typography. If you continue to browse the accompanying links, you’ll discover an entire universe filled with letters, numbers and symbols. We all know how to draw them. We all use them daily. Yet we never thought of them in that way.
